| Kedron Spirit Classic – Sunday, February 26, 2012 Dear Fellow Directors/Coaches/Advisors, It is with great pleasure that we announce the 2nd Kedron Spirit Classic on Sunday, Feb. 26 at Ridley High School in Folsom, PA. I wanted to personally invite you and your organization to participate in what we promise will again be a competition unlike any other. Since Kedron Cheerleading prides itself on the spirit of our cheerleaders and our parents, we’ve planned a competition around this theme... the spirit of competing, the spirit of cheering and the spirit of giving. We have partnered with Philabundance and Ridley High School student groups to host a food drive at the competition. By participating in the food drive, you will teach your cheerleaders about the importance of community and save your organization money at the same time. We are asking that each team bring at least one non-perishable or can food items for each girl on your team. Those teams that participate will receive a $25 rebate per registering team. For example, if you have 25 girls on your Junior squad then the team should contribute a minimum of 25 items in order to receive the rebate. If you bring four teams, and four baskets of food totaling your total number of cheerleaders, then your organization will receive $100 rebate in the mail after our competition takes place. (team registration is $150 per team) We encourage you to embrace this opportunity for your teams to work together on this community service project and decorate the basket with your team colors/mascot. Additionally, we will be collecting items at the door from spectators. The spectator fee will be reduced for each person bringing an item for the food drive. Volunteers will be collecting these items and putting them in your team’s designated area. These containers will be on display in our Grand Hall so that all spectators will walk through and see the teams with the most giving spirit. Also the organization with the greatest combined donation from their teams and spectators will be recognized at the end of the competition with a special Community Spirit Award. In addition to the community involvement, we are thrilled to open our registration for the following teams: • Rec • CYO • Middle School • High School • Special Needs We will break down into small and large divisions, and will acknowledge and award trophies to all participating teams. We will also recognize a Grand Champion in each division and will honor teams with special awards. The competition will follow NFHS/AACCA Rules and Regulations, and will have certified UCA judges. Registration packets will be available by October and will be sent via e-mail. The Kedron Cheerleading website, www.KedronCheerleading.com will also have information regarding the competition in the weeks to come. We hope that you strongly consider participating in our competition and that you embrace our spirit. Our goal is to make this a fun and competitive day for all teams, while teaching our cheerleaders life long lessons and helping Philabundance end hunger and malnutrition in the Delaware Valley. Our success depends on your support and the support of your cheerleaders, parents and fans. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly, and I hope to see you on Feb. 26th. All the best for a fantastic season!
