Kedron Cheerleading ~ NCA Camp 2008
Over 500 cheerleaders danced their way onto the field at Millersville University last week and 17 Kedron Cheerleaders were
part of it! What an experience for all! Going to NCA camp at Millersville was the highlight of the summer and a fantastic way to
kick off the 08/09 season. All 17 girls that attended had a tremendous time and made our Kedron name something to be proud
of. We would like to recognize the following girls for outstanding team achievement, exceeding personal goals and mostly for
uniting with 500 other cheerleaders to work hard, learn and experience that cheerleading is about more that 2.5 minutes of
competing.

There were three evaluations over the course of the four days. These girls were evaluated on chats and cheers that were
taught in one day. Our coaches then took those chants and cheers and incorporated stunts and tumbling to customize it for
our routine. We are proud to announce the following ribbons we awarded

Individual superior ribbons were awarded to each girl.
The following girls were chosen throughout the 4 days to try out for the “All American” team. These girls were chosen for
various reasons such as dance, motions, spirit, stunting, jumps etc. We are proud of everyone for their achievements !

Kedron is happy to announce that Kelsey Kienzle was chosen after try-outs to be on the All-American team! Way to go Kelsey!
Two team captains were chosen to attend classes. Kelsey and Emily learned about setting goals individually and as a team.
They learned that working together is the most important thing to have in order to succeed. Thanks girls for stepping it up!
Our coaches were also busy this week. Keri, Danielle, Kelli & Gabby were certified as NCA instructors. Nicole, Jim, Joanne &
Eileen were certified as well. The hands on training that we received from NCA instructors will be sure to come in handy this
season. There are several new stunts that the coaches are anxious to try out…look out for the slingshot!! Thanks to Julie
Schmidt and Judy Friess who chaperoned for us, we hope the experience of sleeping in the dorm rooms will stay with them
for a long time!
